Oldies

Let's kick this blog off with a trip down memory lane. These are a few of my favorite drawings I did in high school and community college. I filled out roughly 6 sketchbooks between sophomore and senior year. I typically drift off during math and science lectures anyway so drawing in class at least kept me focused on something tangible and at least hearing half of what was being said instead of just completely daydreaming. Most teachers left me alone to my doodling, unless they were an asshole. The sketchbooks were also popular amongst friends who'd check them for updates on a daily basis. With no actual training I typically started these not knowing what they were going to end up being and trying to make some sense out of them along the way, which is frowned upon in the process driven world of art school but can lead to some interesting characters.
